The Forecasting Project

Is a community-sponsored research program of the Eller College of Management providing the Arizona community with economic forecasts and information on economic, demographic and business trends in the State, its metro areas, and the Western region. The Forecasting Project provides a forum for interaction between scholars, public policy makers and business leaders. Forecasting Project research is widely disseminated to the general public via the Economic & Business Research Center. However, a menu of in-depth forecasting and consulting services is available to sponsoring organizations and companies.
Sponsoring organizations are provided with:
- In-depth forecasts and a comprehensive examination of business conditions four times a year in roundtable sessions with Eller College economists, sponsors and invited speakers.
- Detailed written quarterly report containing analysis and tables of forecasted variables, economic indicators, and 35 pages of graphs illustrating the most recent trends in important economic sectors.
- Access to forecasting models and supporting data in AREMOS databanks. AREMOS is a product of Global Insight, a national leader in economic consulting and forecasting.
- Long run forecasts.
- The Forecasting Project website for easy downloading of data and reports on current issues.
- Consulting on issues related to corporate economics and forecasting.
Project forecasts have been recognized as the "Best in the West" by the Editors of the Western Blue Chip Economic Forecast. Marshall J. Vest, Project Director, is a widely recognized authority on Arizona's economy.
